Q: What is screen printing?
A: Screen printing is the method by which most t-shirts and related garments are printed. It is a stencil method of printmaking by which ink is forced through a fine mesh (or "silk") screen onto the printing surface. This method, done properly, creates the most durable and highest quality print available on textile surfaces. It is typically the most preferred method for the decoration of t-shirts and fleece.
Q: What is embroidery?
A: Embroidery is the art or handicraft of decorating fabric or other materials with designs stitched in strands of thread or yarn using a needle. Embroidery may also incorporate other materials such as metal strips, pearls, beads, quills, and sequins. Sewing machines can be used to create machine embroidery.
Q: How is price determined?
A: Like any other kind of custom embellishment, the most important factors in determining price are the quantity and quality of the item. Other factors such as the color of the garment and the number of ink colors (screen printing) or stitches (embroidery) are also important variables. As a rule of thumb, the lighter the garment (whites, neutrals, and heathers), and the fewer the ink color or stitches; the lower the price.
Q: What are your minimums?
A: We require a low minimum order of 24 pieces on screen printed items and 12 pieces on embroidered items. Sizes (and sometimes colors) can be mixed according to the customer's wishes, but the artwork must be uniform throughout the run.
Q: Can I see a sample of my order before it prints/stitches?
A: Due to the cost and time involved in the set-up process, we are not able to provide actual print samples prior to production. You will, however, be provided with a clean and crisp proof of what the printed garment will look like. Pricing
Q: How can I find your prices online?
A: All of our pricing can be accessed easily online by following a few simple steps: 1) Click the garment style you’re interested in 2) Find the price of your item based on quantity and the total number of ink colors/stitches.
Q: Can I mix and match sizes for the same price?
A: No problem. You can mix and match sizes from Youth Small through Adult XL as you wish, and each item will be priced the same. For each size after that, rule of thumb is about $2.00 more. XXL= +$2.00 XXXL= +$4.00 and so on.
Q: Are there any additional fees to the products on the "Search" tab?
A: The only additional fees that are sometimes incurred are art charges that sometimes may be applied if “major graphics surgery” is deemed necessary to properly reproduce the required image. Shipping charges are billed to reflect actual freight costs.
Q: How do your prices compare with the competition?
A: In virtually every case, American LogoWear is considerably less expensive than our competitors. We have been in business for 24 years and because so many of our customers find us via the internet, we have made it our policy to be particularly aggressive when it comes to pricing and that usually translates into the best deal for the educated consumer.
Q: Do you have a price guarantee, and if so, what is it?
A: Yes, we do have a price guarantee and it’s pretty simple. We’re confident that our published price will be the lowest you’ll find anywhere, but if you do find a better price from a legitimate competitor, please email it to us, and we’ll promise to beat it! Turn-Around Time
Q: What is a realistic turn-around time?
A: Screen printing orders are shipped out within 6-10 business days from final art approval. Embroidery orders are shipped out within 6-10 business days from final art approval. In many cases, the window is even shorter. The biggest factors in determining turnaround time are the complexity of the design, the quantity of the order, and the availability of the garment.
Q: I have a rush job, can you guys do it?
A: In most cases, yes. However, if you have a need for something really quick, the best thing to do is contact us right away and discuss the details of the job with us directly. We cannot promise magic, but we can promise straight and honest answers, and a willingness to get the job done when others say no.
Q: How long will it take to receive my order once it has been produced?
A: We are able to reach more than 90% of the continental United States via ground shipping, within 1-3 business days.
